比较级的句子结构

EG：

My book is better than you.（错误）

书跟人并不能对比，即使形式上都是N。

My book is better than yours.（正确）

我的书比你的好

为了避免重复，Yours=your book，然而，如果有标示差别的字眼（多为地点，时间介词）在后面，就不能省掉。例如：

Phones made in China are better than those made in the USA.

中国手机和美国手机比，要比较前后都有手机，不然不能比。但是从比较的省略的角度来看，要尽量避免重复。在不宜重复、又不能省略的状况之下，就会出现用代词来取代相同内容的情况

用代词的话为什么不能用it/they，因为----人称代词it/they代表的就是先行词，比如刚刚那个句子

Phones made in China are better than they made in the USA. 错误

那不是变成了中国手机跟中国的手机比？？？

所以得用 that/those这样的泛指代词

Phones made in China are better than those made in the USA.正确

这时用those，表示这是名词词组的省略：后面省掉了重复的名词phones。而those made in the USA就是those phones made in The USA.

再看两个例子

Eg1:

The price of apples in China is much higher than Thailand（错误）

这里还是比不了，价格跟泰国没法比

所以：

The price of apples in China is much higher than the price of apples in Thailand is.

秉承比较的省略（我课上讲过的）

The price of apples in China is much higher than that of apples in Thailand .

直接用that泛指价格（单数），再把is省掉

再来个极限版本，只保留地点（这里比的是不同地点的价格）

The price of apples in China is much higher than in Thailand .

问题来了，这个in 能不能省？？？

答案当然是不能了，省了又变成价格跟泰国比了。

Eg2:

Computers developed by China are far better than they are by The USA（错误）

They指代Computers developed by China 自己跟自己比了，不行

Computers developed by China are far better than those by The USA

直接用Those进行复数泛指，指代phones ，再把are去掉，可以比而且简洁。
