表达心情的英文短语

日常跟人聊天时，往往最能感觉到自己词穷。因为聊来聊去也就是那些最生活和日常的东西，没有什么复杂概念，嘴里蹦出来的总是那些 “off the top of my head”（脑子里一下子能想到）的词语。时间久了，自己都觉得没有意思。积累了新的词汇，尤其是地道的表达或者idiom（习语），就得强迫自己有意识地用起来才行啊！我们就学着抛弃glad、sad、mad，一起来学习一波自我心情和状态的表达吧。

开 心---做人最重要的就是要开心嘛。

Over the moon

表示extremely happy、pleased，很常用的一个idiom。

E.g. I am feelingover the moonthat Christmas is approaching.

E.g. They're going on holiday on Wednesday so they're allover the moon.

Chuffed

非正式英式俚语，表示满意的，开心的。既可以表达对某个事情开心，也可以形容对某个成就感到满意。程度更深一点的高兴，就用chuffed to bits。

E.g. He waschuffedwith the new bike.

E.g. You enjoy the cider I recommended? I’mchuffed to bits.

Have a whale of a time

相当于have a great time、enjoy oneself, 表示玩得很开心。

E.g. Wehad a whale of a timeon holiday.

Buzzing

表示非常兴奋的。buzz就是蜜蜂嗡嗡嗡的动静，buzzed就是很忙碌的意思。感受下buzzing，是不是有点突突突的小兴奋的感觉？

E.g. I'm so happy. I’mbuzzing!

E.g. I'mbuzzingfor Alan's party on Friday!

表示电话一直震动也是用buzzing。

E.g. My phone won’t stopbuzzing.

On top of the world

都站在世界巅峰了，肯定是极度happy了。

E.g. She was feelingon top of the worldafter receiving the offer of her dream university.

E.g. I am feelingon top of the worldright now with my baby born.

生 气

Pissed off

表示生气、不高兴、招人烦。这里需要解释下英式英语和美式英语的区别，美式英语中说someone is pissed，就是指这个人生气不高兴，但是这句话在英式英语里，指这个人喝醉了，而生气了是用someone is pissed off。

E.g. I was reallypissed offwhen she stood me up yesterday.

E.g. Don’t talk like that. It willpiss him off.

Sulking

不高兴，生闷气，不理人 （男朋友们都懂得）。

E.g. Stopsulking. Talk to me!

E.g. He'ssulkingin his room because I wouldn't let him have any more chocolate.

Fuming

特别生气，但也是不直接表达出来的，比如生闷气，或默默地愤怒。

E.g. I saw her a week after they'd had the argument and she was stillfuming.

E.g. The whole episode left mefumingat the injustice of it all.

I lost my cool. / I lost my temper. / I flipped out.

气得没控制住自己。

E.g. I nearly flipped outwhen he told me he was going to get married.

E.g. I'm sorryI lost my coolyesterday. That wasn’t called for (不合适的，不应该的).

E.g. He tends tolose his temper. Don’t irritate him.

Livid

表示非常非常生气。

E.g. The rude letter from his mother-in-law made himlivid.

伤 心

Gutted

英式俚语，表示特别失望伤心。

E.g. He wasguttedwhen she finished the relationship.

Distraught

表示特别忧愁，焦虑，伤心。

E.g. We were alldistraughtover the loss of our homes in the flood.

(Down) in the dumps / heart sinks

表示心情不好。

E.g. She's a bitdown in the dumpsbecause she failed one of her exams.

E.g. Myheart sankwhen I saw that the meal I'd spent all day preparing had burned in the oven.

A lump in your throat / cry one's eyes out

两个都是表示伤心到有具体反应，一个是嗓子里哽住了，一个是哭得稀里哗啦。

E.g. I hada huge lump in my throatas I watched my brother get on the plane.

《老友记》里当Monica和Chandler要搬到一起住的时候，Joey就是”cry his eyes out ”。

Have a meltdown

这个程度比较深，表示伤心到不能正常运作。

E.g. Hehad a meltdownafter he cheated on his girlfriend.

I have been through hell. / The darkest days of my life.

表示人生中最痛苦的时光。

E.g. Jenniferhas gone through hellwith all of her family issues this year, so please take that into consideration.

E.g. I am so happy for him when he walked out ofhis darkest days of his life.
